50 Cent Opens Up About Bullying in New Book

alt

Hey,  Fitty fans! Hate it or love it, 50 Cent gives his two cents on bullying in his upcoming young adult book, Playground.

The book will feature a 13-year-old bully who faces what his behavior has done to others. Playground  is semi-autobiographical, where the rap artist writes about his own experiences from his urban upbringing as a child and adolescent.

“This book would have been very helpful for me growing up, and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers," said for former Curtis Jackson.

Bullying has seen a rise in media attention, especially with last year’s suicides surrounding homosexual bullying, and with today’s technology, which makes it easier to bully through cyberspace. A number of programs have sprung up, including Brittany Snow’s #LoveisLouder campaign.

50 Cent will help speak to the bullies and bullied in rougher communities through the teenage character. 50 Cent already has a great track of best-selling books including his 2005 autobiography, From Pieces to Weight, and his 2008 follow-up, The 50th Law

Playground will be in bookstores in January 2012.
