5 Reasons To See A Movie By Yourself

Be your own buddy: Make it "me" time. While going to the movies is generally thought of as a social experience, everybody is tuned in to the big screen anyways - so what's the difference between your friends staring at the screen versus people you don't know? It's still a bunch of folks sitting in the dark, looking at the same thing, which technically is not actually being social, just out in public. You don't need somebody to hold your hand to do that, so be your own buddy and treat yourself to a fun flick!

Do a movie review: Take to your social network of choice and make your opinion known to the world!

No flakes: Remember that one time you and a friend decided to see a movie, but then they couldn't make it, and you've still never seen that movie, and that was like 2003? Being your own date means you're already ready, right on schedule.

Peace & quiet: One of my best friends talks through movies. He just does. That's part of who he is. He's not overly loud so that others can hear, just a whisper in my ear. Most of the time I don't mind filling him in on who said what, or what happened when he went to the bathroom, but we occasionally get shushed - which is rather embarrassing. Yes, we're the (slightly deaf) jerks. Sorry! Without the talker, I keep to myself and that makes everybody happy.

Cheap date: Literally cut your expenses in half by being your own date.
