Zosia Mamet's Kickstarter campaign flops

Zosia Mamet's dreams of starring in her own music video have been left in tatters after the online campaign she launched to fund the project failed dramatically.

The Girls star, who plays Shoshanna Shapiro in the hit TV series, and her sister Clara, who together perform as The Cabin Sisters, started the Kickstarter.com drive last month (May13) to fund the promo for their track Bleak Love.

The siblings aimed to raise $32,000 from fan donations by offering up rewards such as T-shirts and lyric sheets to donors, but the project is now on hold after only bringing in a paltry $2,783 by its Sunday night (09Jun13) deadline.

The Mamet sisters' highest pledge was $100 and only 80 people backed the widely publicised project.

The actress is not the only star who has failed to win over fans for a Kickstarter campaign - Melissa Joan Hart was forced to pull the plug on her online fundraiser last month (May13) after raising just $51,000 of her $2 million target.
