Zendaya opted for androgynous clothing line to suit all fans

Singer/actress Zendaya was determined to make her new clothing line gender neutral so all of her fans could wear their confidence on their sleeves.

The pop star announced plans to expand her Daya by Zendaya shoe collection to include her own womenswear designs in September (16), but she has since revealed the whole range is androgynous.

The new pieces, created with the help of her stylist Law Roach, who acts as co-creative director of the company, include jumpsuits, dresses, pants, jackets, and athleisure items which the 20-year-old has deemed suitable for all.

"This line is very much true to who I am, my identity and my style," she told People magazine. "It's totally my vibe - urban elegance."

Zendaya also made sure fans of all sizes could draw inspiration from her style with pieces ranging from a U.S. size 0 to 22.

"My thing is anybody can wear whatever they want," she explained. "If you're a dude and you want to wear a dress, then wear it. The whole point is (to wear) whatever you feel confident in."

As for the star herself, she favors the jumpsuits.

"Because they're one-piece, you don't have to worry about picking out a shirt or pants," she said. "They're comfortable too, so it's like wearing pajamas."

Zendaya launched the clothing line this week (begs07Nov16), but it's not her only new project - she is also busy working on her own mobile app, which, among other things, will allow fans to shop her Daya by Zendaya brand directly.
