Zelda Williams returns to Twitter with anti-bullying message
Robin Williams' daughter Zelda has returned from a self-imposed break from Twitter.com after she was bombarded with hurtful messages about the death of her father.
Shortly after the Oscar winner's death last month (Aug14), a photo of a strangulation victim who resembled the star was lifted from a Spanish-language website and posted online, with the sick pranksters alleging it was the final image of the actor.
Zelda, 25, urged fans not to open a link leading to the fake photo,
and later announced she would be taking a break from social media
to properly grieve her beloved father.
However, on Monday (01Sep14), nearly three weeks after logging off
the microblogging site, Zelda returned with a simple post that
read, "Thank you".
She also attached a link to her personal Tumblr blog, which
features a quote by Williams' Mrs. Doubtfire co-star Harvey
Fierstein, who said, "Never be bullied into silence. Never allow
yourself to be made a victim. Accept no ones definition of your
life; define yourself."
