Zayn Malik shocks with new shaved look at first post-One Direction split event

Pop star Zayn Malik rocked a new shaved head as he made his first public appearance since quitting One Direction on Friday night (17Apr15)

The 22 year old, famous for his shaggy, pony-tailed hairstyle, sported a new clean-cut buzz look and a nose stud as he attended the Annual Asian Awards in London with his mum Trisha.

Malik refused to chat to the media but he did take time to sign autographs for fans who couldn't believe the former boy band star was at the Grosvenor House Hotel event.

Producer Naughty Boy, who is currently working on new music with Malik, was also spotted at the prizegiving.

Reports suggest he and Malik will be making an announcement about the former One Direction star's first solo music venture this weekend (17-19Apr15).
