Zach Braff has written an emotional 'thank you' message to fans after his crowdfunded movie Wish I Was Here won rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival.

The Scrubs star unveiled his movie project at the event in Utah over the weekend (18-19Jan14), garnering a positive response from critics, a distribution deal, and a star-studded turn out at the screening.

Braff made the movie using donations through Kickstarter.com, eventually raising more than $3 million, and he thanked his supporters for all their help following the Sundance premiere, writing in a post on his Twitter.com page, "To all of my KS backers, none of this amazing response at Sundance would be happening without YOU. I love each and everyone of you forever."

The event was attended by stars including One Direction's Harry Styles.
