WILLIAMS SHINES AT SEASIDE LIGHTS SPECTACLE

Robbie Williams swapped the bright lights of Los Angeles for the windy British seaside resort of Blackpool on Friday night (03Sep10) to turn on the town's famous illuminations.

The British singer, who lives in L.A. with his new wife Ayda Field, thrilled thousands of fans who turned up to see him throw the switch on the lights, which stretch all along the seafront and are turned on every September.

He told the huge crowd he felt honored to launch the light show as he often visited Blackpool as a child.

Classical singer Russell Watson and pop star Alesha Dixon performed at the event.
