Black Eyes Peas star will.i.am has reached out to Justin Bieber following his disastrous trip to Britain, branding the Baby hitmaker's headline-grabbing visit "a bump in the road".
The 19 year old made news for all the wrong reasons during a week-long U.K. visit with antics that included a birthday bust-up with bouncers at a London nightclub, a delayed show at the O2 Arena on 4 March (13), breathing difficulties which halted another gig and sent the young star to hospital, and a foul-mouthed altercation with a photographer on Friday (08Mar13).
Bieber revealed that Will Smith, whose son Jaden has been opening for the pop superstar on tour, had reached out to him for a "great talk" last week (ends10Mar13), and now rapper will.i.am has also spoken to the singer following his much-publicised trip to Britain.
He tells the U.K.'s Channel 5 News, "I already gave (advice) to him on the phone, he's good, he's a good kid. When you're 17, 18, 19, 20 the world can get you off course but he's gonna be alright.
"He has a good family, good people around him. Just every once in a while there's a bump in the road."
Bieber has since jetted out of the U.K. to Portugal, where he performed in Lisbon on Monday night (11Mar13).
Taking to his Twitter.com page after the gig, the star declared, "PORTUGAL was RIGHT TONIGHT!! thanks to all the fans...the beliebers tonight. incredible show!"
His Tuesday night (12Mar13) concert in the city was axed over the weekend (09-10Mar13) due to "issues" related to dismantling the stage set after the gig.
