will.i.am pays tribute to tragic teen

will.i.am has paid tribute to computer prodigy Arfa Karim, who died aged 16 on Saturday (14Jan12).


At nine years old, Karim became the youngest person ever to be made a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and was awarded several honours in her native Pakistan for her technological achievements.


She suffered a cardiac arrest after an epileptic seizure and was left brain damaged in December (11), and passed away over the weekend (14-15Jan12).


Pop star will.i.am was touched by her story, and took to Twitter.com to pay his respects and urge his followers to learn more about her.


He writes, "Arfa karim died on Saturday after complications resulting from an epileptic stroke. Arfa Karim 4ever (sic)...


"Life should be known by the world she died today (sic) at 16 youngest Microsoft employee.


"The world needs more kids like Arfa Karim... I send my love to your family & country."
