Westworld TV series is a go for Sir Anthony Hopkins

A star-studded TV series adaptation of cult 1973 film Westworld has been given the greenlight by bosses at cable network HBO.

Sir Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood and James Marsden will head up the cast of the latest version of Michael Crichton's film about robots who take over an amusement park.

Hopkins will make his debut as a TV series regular when he takes on the part of the inventor who runs the attraction. Marsden, Wood and Thandie Newton will play androids in the project.

The series will debut next year (15).
