Voice rest forced Azealia Banks to pull out of Glastonbury

Azealia Banks has been put on voice rest by her concerned doctors.

The hip-hop star became the latest act to cancel a set at the Glastonbury festival in England on Friday (26Jun15), and now she has released a statement explaining why she had to pull the plug.

She writes, "Today I was put on vocal rest by my Doctor which is forcing me to cancel Glastonbury. You have no idea how frustrated and sad this makes me because I love the U.K and Glastonbury so much, you have all supported me from the early days and I was really looking forward to putting on an incredible show for you all, rain or shine!

"Please know that as soon as I’m allowed to be on stage again, when I have a full bill of health, I will be back! I hope you understand and I look forward to seeing you all again soon."

Banks was scheduled to perform on Saturday (27Jun15). She has been replaced on the bill by Irish rockers The Strypes.
