Actress Victoria Justice is taking legal action over leaked nude photos of her on the Internet, despite previously insisting the pictures were fake.
The former Victorious star was one of many female celebrities whose personal pictures were part of a massive online hack on Sunday (31Aug14), and shortly after the risque images surfaced, Justice took to Twitter.com do deny the photos were really her, writing, "These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*"
However Justice, 21, is now admitting her privacy was invaded.
In a message posted on the microblogging site on Tuesday (02Sep14), Justice wrote, "Shortly after I tweeted about certain pics of me being fake, I was faced with a serious violation of privacy. There have always been fake photos of me on the internet, but I will not be put in the position to defend myself as to what is real or what is fake.
"I am angry at this massive invasion of privacy, and like the other women who are in this situation alongside of me, I am taking legal action to protect my rights."
The haul of celebrity photos originated on 4Chan.org after a hacker found them on numerous Apple iCloud accounts, and since then, authorities at the FBI have launched an investigation to track down the cyber criminals.
Celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have all admitted the pictures are real. Meanwhile, some 4Chan users also claim to have nude images of newlyweds Gabrielle Union and Jenny McCarthy, mom-to-be Hayden Panettiere, Hilary Duff, Kaley Cuoco Sweeting, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Lea Michele and Selena Gomez, among others.
