Victoria Beckham to open first fashion store

Victoria Beckham has signed a deal to open her first clothes shop.

The former Spice Girls star has picked a location in Dover Street, a short walk from glitzy Old Bond Street in the heart of London's fashion district, as the location for her store.

The wife of soccer icon David Beckham promises to give fans a new opportunity to buy her clothing and handbags, which have previously only been available online or via selected outlets and department stores.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mail, "She's really excited about getting things moving quickly. Obviously there is still a lot to do, but the hope is to open the store properly early next year with one of the biggest fashion parties of the year."
