Victoria Beckham planning double bash for 40th birthday

Fashion designer Victoria Beckham is reportedly planning to throw lavish parties on both sides of the Atlantic for her upcoming 40th birthday.

The former Spice Girls star will mark the milestone on 17 April (14) and she is said to be holding a bash in London for her friends and family in the U.K. and another event in her former home of Los Angeles.

The American party is being organized by her actress friend Eva Longoria, according to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.

A source tells the publication, "She is having two 40th bashes: one in Los Angeles and one in London and, for the former, is organising an afternoon out in the hills, horse riding with her girlie pals. Her hairdresser Ken Paves, and best pal Eva Longoria are planning the American bash. The evening do is dinner out at Eva's restaurant, Beso, with most of Victoria and (husband) David's Hollywood chums... She is also having a civilised family dinner party at home in London which her mom is helping organize."
