Usher is adamant his divorce from Tameka Foster has made him more popular than ever - comparing the press about his split to the media frenzy surrounding Hollywood wildchild Lindsay Lohan.
The Yeah! hitmaker wed stylist Foster in 2007 and the pair went on to have two sons together. Usher filed for divorce in 2009, insisting the couple had not lived together for over a year.
And the singer is convinced no publicity is bad publicity - insisting fans and the media love "sensationalism" from their stars, likening recently incarcerated Lohan to a "train wreck" people can't stop talking about.
He tells Playboy magazine, "In an era when sensationalism is more prevalent than anything, yeah, (the split helped my popularity). People love a train wreck. Lindsay Lohan - everybody is eager to see how that comes out. This is somewhat the same thing."
