Ugly Betty cast to reunite for 10th anniversary
America Ferrera and her Ugly Betty castmates are set to reunite to honor the TV show's 10th anniversary.
The comedy/drama premiered in September, 2006, and this June (16), the cast will come together at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas for a special panel.
Joining Ferrera at the event will be Vanessa Williams, Becki
Newton, Michael Urie, Rebecca Romijn, Mark Indelicato, and Eric
Mabius, among others.
"I am so excited for the Ugly Betty cast to be reuniting at ATX,"
Ferrera says in a statement. "They are truly my family and we can’t
wait to celebrate together."
Ugly Betty was executive produced by Salma Hayek and adapted from a
Colombian telenovela about unstylish and awkward Betty Suarez
(Ferrera) who lands a job at a top fashion magazine. Ferrera and
the show both picked up Golden Globes.
The 2016 ATX TV Festival will also feature an Everybody Loves
Raymond reunion and a Friday Night Lights get together, while
acclaimed writer Norman Lear will receive the ATX Award for
Achievement in Television Excellence.
