Nathan Sykes is expected to be hitting the high notes with his bandmates in The Wanted again by the time the boy band performs at the Capital Summertime Ball in London after undergoing vocal surgery.

The pop star has been forced to sit out of the group's most recent shows and he hasn't been part of The Wanted's current tour as they promote new single Walks Like Rihanna and new reality TV show The Wanted Life, which debuts in America on Sunday (02Jun13).

But there's some good news for fans - he's making a comeback.

The group's manager Scooter Braun tweeted the good news to newswoman Katie Couric as she was winding down a TV chat with the band on Friday (31May13).

He wrote, "Finally got to talk to @NathanTheWanted - kid is a fighter. Hoping for Capital Summertime Ball. Set the goal to try to be there."

The music event is scheduled for Wembley Stadium on 9 June (13).
