Rockers The Strokes returned to the stage for the first time in three years in New York on Saturday night (31May14).

Marking their first gig since November, 2011, the musicians rocked the 1,800 capacity Capitol Theater in Port Chester.

The band played 18 tracks, and bowed out with their classic hit Last Nite, before returning for an encore of New York City Cops.

A message posted on the band's Twitter.com page after the comeback gig, reads, "Well Hells, Thank you Port Chester..."

The gig was a warm-up ahead of The Strokes' headlining set at the Governors Ball festival on Randall's Island in New York later this month (Jun14).
