Rockers The Strokes returned to the festival stage in their native New York City this weekend (06-08Jun14) for the first time in three years to headline 2014's Governors Ball event.

Frontman Julian Casablancas basked in the evening sunshine on Saturday (07Jun14), as he led the band through a hits-packed set, belting out tracks like Heart in a Cage, Reptilia and Last Nite, much to the delight of the group's hometown crowd.

It marked Casablancas' second set in as many days - he also hit the stage with his band The Voidz on Friday (06Jun14), when top acts OutKast, Damon Albarn and Bastille also performed. Bastille surprised fans with a reworked cover of TLC's R&B hit No Scrubs.

Jack White headlined Saturday night's festivities, while rapper Childish Gambino teamed up with Chance the Rapper to perform their latest collaboration, The Worst Guys, and British dance duo Disclosure introduced AlunaGeorge to the stage for a performance of White Noise that superfan Madonna enjoyed. The pop superstar shared an Instagram.com photo of herself backstage with Disclosure, and joked, "Been promoted to head of security for Disclosure!"

Sunday's line-up includes rappers Tyler, the Creator and J. Cole, Foster The People, Interpol, Vampire Weekend and former Swedish House Mafia stars Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.
