The Handmaid's Tale and Atlanta lead Television Critics Association Awards nominations

Atlanta, This Is Us, and The Handmaid's Tale lead all nominations for the Television Critics Association Awards with four nods each.


Elisabeth Moss' TV series The Handmaid's Tale will compete with Better Call Saul, Stranger Things, The Americans, The Crown, and This Is Us in the Outstanding Achievement in Drama category, while the hit series is also up for Program of the Year, alongside Atlanta, Big Little Lies, Stranger Things, The Leftovers, and This Is Us.

Moss squares off with Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Carrie Coon (The Leftovers and Fargo), Claire Foy (The Crown), Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), and Feud: Bette & Joan co-stars Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon in the Individual Achievement In Drama, while Donald Glover is up against Pamela Adlon (Better Things), Aziz Ansari (Master of None), Kristen Bell (The Good Place), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep), Issa Rae (Insecure), and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) for Individual Achievement In Comedy.

Glover's acclaimed TV series Atlanta is also up for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy with black-ish, Fleabag, Master of None, The Good Place, and Veep, while the Outstanding New Program prize will be handed to either The Crown, The Good Place, The Handmaid's Tale, Stranger Things, or This Is Us.

Big Little Lies, Fargo, Feud: Bette and Joan, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, The Night Of, and Wizard of Lies will compete for Outstanding Achievement In Movies, Miniseries And Specials.

The awards will be handed out at a prizegiving in early August (17).
