The screenwriter who adapted The Girl On The Train for the big screen is in talks to take charge of Disney's Snow White revamp.
Erin Cressida Wilson is close to signing on for new musical, live-action version of the animated 1937 fairytale.
The film will feature new songs penned by songwriters Benj Pasek & Justin Paul.
Based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale, Snow White was Walt Disney's first animated feature film, and picked up an honorary Oscar at the 11th Academy Awards.
The project is the latest animated Disney hit to get the live-action treatment, following in the footsteps of films like Maleficent, The Jungle Book, and Cinderella.
Disney bosses are also working on Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Aladdin, and The Lion King as remakes.
