The Game sued by alleged battery victim
Rapper The Game has been slapped with a lawsuit from a man he allegedly attacked during a casual basketball game in Los Angeles last month (Mar15).
The Dreams hitmaker, real name Jayceon Taylor, stands accused of punching Onyebuchi Awaji, an off-duty police officer, in the head after clashing with him on the court at Hollywood High School on 29 March (15).
Cops were called to investigate, but the hip-hop star had left the
scene by the time authorities arrived.
Awaji filed a battery report over the incident and on Monday
(06Apr15), he launched civil action against The Game in a
California court, claiming the alleged assault may have caused him
brain damage, reports TMZ.com.
The Game, who was suspended from taking part in the JBL Basketball
League until officials complete their investigation, has yet to
comment on the clash or respond to the news of the lawsuit.
The rapper will at least have a little extra cash to fight the suit
- he won $6,000 on Saturday (04Apr15) from Drake after betting on
the Wisconsin Badgers to beat tournament favorites the Kentucky
Wildcats in the Final Four college basketball championships.
