Rapper The Game has been released on $50,000 bail after surrendering to Los Angeles police on Monday (08Jun15) to answer a charge of making criminal threats.
The Hate It or Love It hitmaker, real name Jayceon Taylor, clashed with off-duty cop Onyebuchi Awaji during a basketball game in March (15) and last week (ends05Jun15), prosecutors slapped him with the felony count and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
He turned himself in to authorities on Monday afternoon (08Jun15), but was released less than an hour later after posting bail, reports TMZ.com.
The news emerges two days after The Game told fans he was ready to surrender to officials, after sharing an Instagram.com photo of himself in a hot tub on Saturday (06Jun15), alongside the caption, "Relaxing in the sauna before I turn myself in..... But what you gone do when you get outta jail... I'm gonna have some fun (sic)."
He returned to Instagram after walking free on Monday and shared a snap of himself waiting for a cab outside the police station.
The Game is also facing a civil suit over the brawl from Awaji, who claims the alleged assault may have caused him brain damage.
