'The Dude' Jeff Bridges performs for Lebowski Fest fans

Actor Jeff Bridges took a trip down memory lane on Friday (25Apr14) as he headlined the annual Lebowski Fest, which celebrates the cult success of his 1998 movie The Big Lebowski.

The star, who played lead character Jeff 'The Dude' Lebowski, hit the stage with his band to perform a 30-minute set for fans of the classic Coen Brothers film at the Los Angeles gathering, and even revisited songs from his Oscar-winning 2009 drama Crazy Heart, in which he portrayed a down-and-out country singer, to entertain the crowds.

The appearance marked Bridges' first full gig at the two-day bash - he previously only belted out one song from the film at the event in 2005.

Attendees were also treated to a performance from Tenacious D comedy rocker Kyle Gass, who sang tunes from The Big Lebowski before a screening of the movie.

The festival, which is currently in its 12th year, concluded with a costume bowling party on Saturday (26Apr14).
