Taylor Swift scores pal a day at wedding dress designer's showroom

Britany Maack has discovered that having Taylor Swift as a best pal has huge benefits when you're planning a wedding.

Maack asked her friend to serve as maid of honor at her upcoming nuptials and the singer is taking her duties very seriously, even helping the bride-to-be pick out the perfect dress.

Swift tells People.com, "Reem (Acra) does the most amazing bridal designs, and Britany and I were looking through Vogue, and she pointed to this one gown, and I was like, 'I wonder if we could go to the showroom..."'

The Love Story singer made some calls and scored a day at the designer's headquarters.

She adds, "Sure enough, it was the best day ever. It was so amazing."

And Taylor cannot wait for the big day, adding, "I've never been a maid of honor before. This is my first time, and it's really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I've known since I was born. And she's marrying someone I've known since I was four."
