Taylor Swift named Woman of the Year at Elle Style Awards

Taylor Swift has landed another major accolade after she was named the Woman of the Year at the Elle Style Awards in London, a year after her pop rival Katy Perry picked up the trophy.

Just a day after she landed the Global Recording Artist of the Year from bosses at international trade group IFPI, and 24 hours before she's hoping to pick up a Brit Award for International Female Solo Artist, Swift claimed her latest honor on Tuesday night (24Feb15).

Sam Smith, who presented the award to his pal, was also a winner, claiming the night's Musician of the Year prize, while TV and music mogul Simon Cowell was recognized for his outstanding contribution to entertainment, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was named Model of the Year.

Meanwhile, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cara Delevingne, Diane Kruger and Luke Evans landed the Elle Style Awards acting trophies, and shoe designer Manolo Blahnik was presented with a lifetime achievement award.
