Singer Taylor Swift made one young cancer sufferer's dream come true over the weekend (24-25Oct15) by meeting with the young girl backstage at her concert in Georgia.

Six-year-old Taylor Rayburn suffers from a rare form of kidney cancer and had to spend her sixth birthday in an Alabama hospital to undergo treatment. Rayburn's mother decided to surprise her daughter with tickets to the Shake It Off star's show on Saturday (24Oct15), but her special night turned into a dream come true after she was spotted by Swift's mother, Andrea, and invited backstage.

"Since Taylor spent her birthday in the hospital we surprised her this weekend with a trip to Atlanta and Taylor Swift concert tickets," Rayburn's mom wrote on Facebook.com. "Our seats happened to be close to where Taylor Swift's entourage was. Taylor Swift's mom noticed Taylor and let Taylor sit next to her for a song and at the end of the concert took us backstage to meet Taylor Swift!!!! Thanks Ms. Andrea, dreams really do come true!!!!"

The singer's mother was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year (15).

Meanwhile, Swift is not the only celebrity to help lift the spirits of her sick fans - over the weekend action man Robert Downey, Jr. invited a seven-year-old boy named Daniel, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, to the premiere of Captain America: Civil War next year (16) after spotting a message on Instagram.com from the boy's mother.

It read: "(He) wants nothing more to meet his idol Robert Downey Jr (aka iron man) as he has managed to get past the bullies he faces from day to day by telling them that he too has a extra special port in his chest much like iron man has his arc reactor. I hope that it could help him through his stay in hospital as it is starting to take its toll on him (sic)."

The actor responded, "Would you like to come to the LA premiere of Captain America: Civil War as my guest? If so, have your people call my people. All the best."
