Taylor Swift made a young fan's dreams come true at a concert in Nashville, Tennessee over the weekend (21Sep13) after learning the girl had been hit by a car en route to a concert in Chicago, Illinois.

Grace Markel, seven, was on her way to the I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker's show on 10 August (13), when an uninsured driver hit her as she exited a taxicab with her father.

Markel was hospitalised for two days and treated for two skull fractures, multiple head lacerations, a severe concussion, and a road rash over her face and body, according to People.com.

After her recovery, Markel's parents bought young Grace tickets to Swift's show in Nashville and the pop star surprised the family with a backstage visit.

Grace's mother Amy Markel, says, "Taylor greeted Grace by her name and immediately knelt down and hugged her. She told Grace she had a cold and asked Grace to sing extra loud to help her out...

"(The meeting) was just a warm and genuine exchange that made it feel like time has stopped, and it was just the two of them."
