Taylor Swift linked to bizarre plane crash mystery

Singer Taylor Swift has been named the next of kin of a dead pilot she never met.

The Love Story singer discovered Michael Callan, who died in a plane crash near her home in Nashville, Tennessee last month (Oct13), had listed her as his next of kin when Federal Aviation Administration officials alerted her management to the fact he had her listed on his flying documents.

Swift's publicist insists the singer knew nothing about the 45-year-old frequent flyer - and that's not the only mystery surrounding his 29 October (13) crash. The authorities have no idea why he was flying over Nashville.

A spokesman for Swift says, "The first we heard of this was when the appropriate authorities contacted Taylor's management about the crash. Taylor does not know this person."
