Taran Noah Smith pleads guilty to drug possession charge

Former child star Taran Noah Smith has pleaded guilty to cannabis possession.

The actor, best known for his role in comedy show Home Improvement, was pulled over in Los Angeles County in February (12) and cited for driving under the influence (DUI) of marijuana.



He was arrested when cops found drugs in the vehicle and subsequently charged with misdemeanour possession.


On Tuesday (04Dec12), Smith pleaded guilty to the drug possession charge. He pleaded no contest to a DUI charge, according to TMZ.com.


He was sentenced to a 12-hour program for the DUI offense and ordered to take a six-month drug diversion program. Smith was also placed on three years probation.


The 28 year old is due back in court in June (13).
