Actress Tara Reid is determined to keep her private life private after giving up too many personal details in the past.

The American Pie star strips for the new issue of Playboy but she insists she won't be revealing anything else for the foreseeable future - because her loose lips have landed her in big trouble in the past.

She says, "I probably should've been more private. I'm a very open person. That's just who I am. So maybe when people started asking questions about my personal life I shouldn't have given so much information.

"I learned it could be hurtful when it shouldn't be. I let m y heart close a little bit and heal, but I still have a heart and I still feel. It took a long time to get to a balance like that."

And Reid has found personal happiness in the process - after a string of heartbreaks: "I'm in a great relationship, I'm really happy and I'm at a good place in my life right now."
