Studio chiefs assure fans Twilight film is still on track
Twilight movie bosses have assured fans plans to release the final installment are still on track following Kristen Stewart's headline-grabbing cheating confession.
Stewart shocked her devoted followers when she issued a public statement apologising to her Twilight co-star and boyfriend Robert Pattinson after she was pictured kissing married director Rupert Sanders.
Fans of the vampire franchise had feared a potential fall-out
between the two lead actors could affect the release and promotion
of upcoming movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, which
is due to hit cinemas in November (12).
However, Nancy Kirkpatrick of Summit Entertainment is adamant the
movie release is going ahead as planned.
She tells EW.com, "While it is studio policy not to comment on the
personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and
looking forward to this November's opening of The Twilight Saga:
Breaking Dawn - Part 2. We are confident that the film delivers
amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience
alike."
