Brits Stephen Moyer and Samantha Barks will be heading back to the prohibition days when they take to the stage for a three-date run of Chicago at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles next month (Jul13).
The True Blood star will take on the role of lawyer Billy Flynn while Les Miserables beauty Barks will play seductive murderess Velma Kelly.
In a post on Twitter.com, the actress writes, "Very excited to announce that I will be playing Velma Kelly in Chicago at this year's Hollywood Bowl!! I'm so excited!"
Drew Carey will play hapless husband Amos Hart, while Lucy Lawless will star as prison warden Mama Morton. The actress who will be playing Roxie Hart will be announced at a later date.
The production, which will run at the huge venue in Los Angeles from 26-28 July (13), will be directed by Brooke Shields, who has graced the stage in both the Broadway and West End versions of the hit show.
