Stars including Chrissy Teigen and Kerry Washington have shown their support for Planned Parenthood after a fatal shooting at a clinic in Colorado.

A man stormed the clinic in Colorado Springs on Friday (27Nov15), killing three victims - including a police officer - and injuring nine others.

Model and presenter Chrissy, who recently announced she is pregnant with her first child, wrote on Twitter.com on Friday that she and husband John Legend had made a donation to the family planning and women's health organization to show their support.

"Every time s**t like this happens, John and I immediately make another donation to planned parenthood (sic)", she posted.

All of Me hitmaker John then retweeted his wife's message, as well as sharing a link to the not-for-profit organization's donation page.

Scandal star Kerry, who spoke out on behalf of Planned Parenthood earlier this year (15) after the Senate considering stripping the organization of its funding, wrote on Twitter, "Prayers to #ColoradoSprings & #PlannedParenthood".

Elizabeth Banks, who has also publicly shown her support for Planned Parenthood, retweeted Hillary Clinton's post on the social media site, which read, "Today and every day, we #StandWithPP."

The Democratic presidential candidate hopeful also shared a statement from Vicki Cowart, CEO and president of Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains, who wrote, "Our hearts go out to everyone involved in this tragic situation."

Comedian Kathy Griffin also showed her support, writing, "For many years I went 2 #PlannedParenthood 4 my yearly exam because I was too poor to afford insurance." She then posted a link for her followers to donate to the organization.
