Vanessa Hudgens, the Jonas Brothers and Jordin Sparks were among the stars honored for their philanthropy at Variety's Power Of Youth awards on Saturday (15Sep12).

The High School Musical star was recognized for her work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes for sick kids, while the Jonas Brothers were feted for starting up The Change for the Children Foundation, and Sparks' volunteering for abuse center Childhelp was also highlighted.

Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland also picked up a prize at the trade paper's annual event, which acknowledges young Hollywood stars for their humanitarian efforts.

Hyland told how she signed up to be a youth ambassador for funnyman George Lopez's charity, which aims to increase awareness about organ donation, after her own battle with kidney disease.

She tells Variety, "When I was a child, I was unable to go to any type of sleep-away summer camp because of health issues.

"Once I learned about the Lopez Foundation, I knew I wanted to get involved (because they) send kids with kidney disease away to camp so they can still experience overnight camp with medical needs at hand."
