Solange Knowles lands new modeling contract

Solange Knowles has extra reason to celebrate this week (beg09Jan12) following the birth of her sister Beyonce's baby girl - she has signed a new modeling contract.

Solange Knowles has teamed up with executives at Next Models.

The former pop sensation and actress tells Vogue, "Artistic expression is invaluable to me in all walks of my career and I am so excited to continue to develop this path along with such an amazing team at Next Model Management. I feel right at home working with people who have worked beside such creative forces in the world."

Solange Knowles has previously fronted campaigns for Rimmel and Armani Jeans.

Her big news comes just two days after big sister Beyonce gave birth to her first child - Blue Ivy.
