Sir Cliff Richard is planning to sell the home in Berkshire, England that was recently raided by police investigating child abuse allegations.
The Young Ones singer was on vacation in Portugal when cops swooped on 14 August (14), and now Richard has told friends he can't bear to return to his former pad.
The pop star, who has denied the allegation against him, is determined to sell the Sunningdale apartment.
A pal tells Britain's Daily Mail, "He is putting the place on the market because he feels it has been violated by the search. He says he feels it's akin to having your home ransacked by burglars.
"He is a totally innocent man, yet several officers went into his home without any warning, in view of the news cameras, and rifled through his effects."
Richard bought the penthouse in 2008.
He has chosen to remain at his holiday home in the Algarve after agreeing to be questioned by police officers last month.
He was not arrested and faces no restrictions on his travel plans.
Police officials have been criticized for the way they dealt with the raid.
