Sir Ben Kingsley and Nicole Scherzinger honored at Asian Awards

Sir Ben Kingsley, Nicole Scherzinger and late martial arts legend Bruce Lee were honored at the third annual Asian Awards in London on Tuesday (16Apr13).


The Ghandi star, born Krishna Pandit Bhanji to a Gujarati father and British mother, was handed the prestigious Fellowship Award in recognition of his long career, while former Pussycat Dolls star Scherzinger was feted with the Music Award, and Lee was posthumously honored for his impact on western cinema with the Founders Award.


The star-studded ceremony celebrates talented and ground-breaking individuals from the Asian community and was attended by British Royal Princess Michael of Kent, Australian singer Peter Andre and Bollywood star Anupam Kher, who was presented with the Outstanding Achievement in Cinema award
