Selena Gomez suffering from lupus - report

Singer Selena Gomez is suffering from complications due to Lupus, according to reports.

The Come & Get It hitmaker was reportedly diagnosed with the autoimmune disease a few years ago and complications from the illness forced her to cancel her Australian tour last week (begs16Dec13), according to Popdust.com.

The 21 year old announced she was taking time off to focus on herself, and a source tells the website, "Selena has been going full throttle the past few years and her Lupus is really catching up with her right now.

"Selena knows that she needs to take some time to address the disease and look after herself better if she wants to live a full and healthy life."

Gomez's representatives have declined to comment on the report.

Other celebrities diagnosed with Lupus include Nick Cannon, Seal, Toni Braxton and Michael Jackson.
