Selena Gomez pleased to share birthday with royal baby

Selena Gomez was delighted to hear Britain's new royal baby was born on her 21st birthday because the news made her celebrations extra memorable.

Prince William's wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a baby boy, Prince George of Cambridge, in London on Monday (22Jul13), and Gomez, who turned 21 on the same day, is glad she will share her birthday with such an important figure.

She tells E! News, "How crazy is that? I share my birthday with the royal baby, that's crazy! I'm never going to forget that ever in my life. Everyone's going to say happy birthday to me and I'm going to be like, 'But honestly, it's the royal baby's birthday.' That's what I'm going to say.

"I thought that was so cool. I was doing press (interviews) the actual day of my birthday, so they (the reporters) were telling me and they were keeping me updated (on the birth) and it was cool. I'm honored."
