Selena Gomez has surprised fans by professing her love for raunchy restaurant chain Hooters.

The Disney singer/actress, who turns 18 on Thursday (22Jul10), enjoyed a meal at one of the venues in New York on Wednesday (21Jul10) and snapped a picture with the all-female waiting staff, famed for their saucy wet t-shirt competitions.

Gomez revealed her secret passion for the chain during a TV appearance with talk show host David Letterman later that day.

She told the host, "I like Hooters. I went in for fried pickles and curly fries. I'm from Texas. We fry everything. Fried butter, fried Oreos, fried Twix, fried Twinkies..."
