Sean 'Diddy' Combs urges friends not to let him fall asleep in meetings
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is begging his pals to stop sneaking snaps of him snoozing in meetings because he'd rather they told him to take a nap.
The hip-hop mogul and entrepreneur admits his one-time boast of sleeping just three hours a night has caught up with him and now he struggles to wind down, which means he's often tired during the day - and he has started dozing off in meetings.
But the sleep he gets around the boardroom table is not the type he
needs, and he'd rather his team wakes him and gets him to the
nearest bed or sofa than take comedy shots of him to post
online.
He says, "I try all types of things like melatonin and reading
scripts, but it's hard for my mind to shut off (at night) because
I'm such a dreamer, a visionary.
"I've been falling asleep in the meetings because I've been working
so hard... and nobody's telling me I'm falling asleep. People have
just been taking pictures of me falling asleep..."
And making his appeal on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday
(25Oct13), Diddy said, "To all my friends out there, I want you to
tell me the truth; if my breath stinks, I want you to tell me the
truth, if I have something on the corner of my mouth or in between
my teeth or when I fall asleep in meetings, I do not want you to
take pictures of me, I want you tell me, 'Excuse me Sean, you need
to take a nap!'."
Diddy admits he's extra tired at the moment after spending months
preparing for the launch of his new cable music channel Revolt.
