Sean 'Diddy' Combs arrested after football practice bust-up - report

Rap mogul and entrepreneur Sean 'Diddy' Combs has reportedly been arrested in Los Angeles following an altercation with his son Justin's college football coach.

The hip-hop star was taken into custody by University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) campus police on Monday afternoon (22Jun15), according to TMZ.com.

Reports suggest he was visiting his son and took offense when he heard coach Sal Alosi berating one of the players during a Bruins practice.

Combs confronted the coach and allegedly grabbed him during a tense moment and swung a kettlebell weight at him.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ.com, the star was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

A statement from campus authorities reads, "No one was seriously injured and UCPD (UCLA Police Department) is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening."

Bruins head coach Jim Mora says, "This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved."
