Seal files his own divorce papers

Seal has filed his own legal papers to end his marriage to Heidi Klum, four days after the supermodel initiated divorce proceedings.

The German beauty lodged papers in a Los Angeles court on Friday (06Apr12), requesting joint legal custody of the couple's four kids and primary physical custody.

On Tuesday (10Apr12), the Kiss From a Rose hitmaker followed suit with his own divorce filing.

The documents suggest he is set to challenge Heidi Klum for joint physical custody of their children, but a source tells People.com the wording is just a legal technicality and the former couple is not bracing for a court showdown.

Both stars have cited irreconcilable differences for the breakdown of their relationship.

The pair wed in May, 2005 and announced its split in January (12).
