Sarah Hyland will never badmouth Ariel Winter

Sarah Hyland will "never" publicly criticize her Modern Family co-star Ariel Winter.

The actress took to Twitter on Wednesday (10May17) to accuse paparazzi of trying to get her to say something bad about her onscreen sister. Ariel has recently been criticized for her fashion choices and sexy social media snaps, but Sarah assured her followers that she will never slam her castmate.

"Paps at the airport trying to get me to talk s**t about my girl @arielwinter1 y'all digging for something you're never gonna get," Sarah tweeted, and Ariel replied, "love you" with two love heart emojis.

Sarah, 26, has previously praised Ariel, 19, for being so body confident.

"I'm proud that she's so accepting of her body," she told ETOnline. "I mean, Ariel is like my little sister, so I love her so, so much. I think she's beautiful inside and out."

Sarah and Ariel have played onscreen sisters Haley and Alex Dunphy on the comedy series since 2009. The show, which is currently in its eighth season, has been renewed for a further two years by executives at the ABC network.

According to Deadline, their co-stars Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara will each receive a raise for seasons nine and 10, with their salary per episode reportedly increasing from $350,000 to $500,000 . The studio are still negotiating new deals with the younger cast.
