Sam Smith pranks news crew

British singer Sam Smith pranked a TV crew in Colorado by joking around in the background during a news report.

The Stay With Me hitmaker paid a trip to the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on Tuesday (04Aug15) during the day to check out the venue before his concert that evening.

Reporters from local news channel ABC 7 were also there because it had been named a national historic landmark, and the broadcast shows Smith appearing behind two women discussing the venue and remaining there for the duration of their chat.

Smith throws up the peace sign and he then rocks back and forth behind the interviewees while holding onto a railing. He constantly smiles directly at the camera and finally pulls the finger symbol again above one of their heads.

The reporter can be heard saying, "You're getting photobombed."
