RYAN REYNOLDS TURNS TV PRODUCER

Ryan Reynolds is stepping behind the camera to produce a new TV comedy about a group of geriatric neighbourhood campaigners.
Reynolds and his Dark Trick Films production company has teamed up with US network NBC to create Mayors of Casterbridge.
The show will follow a group of "elder statesman" bidding to reclaim their neighbourhood from a "young upstart" developer.
The star tells GQ magazine, “Mayors fills a void in programming - more specifically, it aims to spotlight the less explored sexagenarian in all his vitality, rage, corrosive wit and bottomless immaturity.”
No casting announcements have been made, and it's unknown if Reynolds plans to appear in the show himself.
