Ryan Adams confronts fan over camera flashes

Rocker Ryan Adams halted a gig this week (ends23Nov14) to confront an audience member over flash photography which could trigger an episode of his Meniere's disease.

The singer/songwriter bans camera flashes at all of his gigs because it could bring on dizzy spells and nausea related to the inner ear condition.

However, at a gig in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday (19Nov14), a female fan ignored the policy, so Adams stopped the concert and ordered her to stop taking pictures.

During the incident, which was caught on video, Adams stopped playing and told the woman, "Oh my God did you not hear me talk about the flash and this thing in eyes I have f**cking Meniere's disease, can you just stop? Can you just stop in the front row with the flashes, literally you're wrecking the whole show, please just stop.

"I'm sorry I have a disability its called Meniere's disease and when you flash on your camera I get so dizzy I want to throw up I can barely stand up straight, please all I ask is just put a piece of tape over them, how many songs do you want to wreck?

"Hi, my name is Ryan and I have Meniere's disease. If you flash me with your camera, it feels like you took a lightsaber and you sliced my brain in half. Just stop it, seriously so we can enjoy the show."

The rocker then continued with the gig.
