Rozonda Thomas and Dallas Austin's son following parents into music

Tlc star Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas' teenage son with producer Dallas Austin is preparing to follow his famous parents into the music industry as a drummer.

The No Scrubs hitmaker reveals 17-year-old Tron Austin has showed promise as a talented percussionist and he has even started to pen his own tunes.

She tells celebrity writer Allison Kugel, "He definitely has the music bug. It's in his DNA, he couldn't help it, I guess! I just wanted to wait and see what he would show me. I didn't guide him into this, although he's been around it his whole life. He's a drummer, he writes music and he's really good."

Thomas dated Austin at the start of her career. She later romanced R&B superstar Usher, until their split in 2004.
